Sara LaFontain is an indie author and Author Accelerator Certified Book Coach living in Tucson, Arizona. She has independently published six novels and three novellas, writing stories about complicated relationships, imperfect people, family, love, and the messy circumstances that can change our lives.

Her books span several genres, including the Whispering Pines Island series of romantic women's fiction and The Corbitt Calamities, a thriller series featuring bombs, boy bands, and unbreakable sibling bonds. Across her very different stories, Sara is drawn to characters who are imperfect, complicated, and trying to figure out what comes next.

Before becoming an author, Sara's career took her from the Brazilian Pantanal, where she worked as a wildlife guide, to a domestic violence shelter, where she served as a case advocate, and eventually to family law, where she practiced as an attorney. She holds degrees in International Studies and Spanish, Latin American Studies, and law.

These days, Sara spends most of her time in her bright yellow office in Tucson, writing, reading, and working with other writers. When she's not at her computer, she's usually spending time with her husband and children. Her writing is fueled by dark chocolate, a fascination with complicated characters, and the occasional interruption from real ones.
